Here they are. Our annual trip toward Glen Rose, Texas to take our pictures among the bluebonnets, the state flower of Texas.
Each year we trek out into the country to find just the right patch of Texas Bluebonnets. They were a little scarce this year because of our lack of rain, but this particular patch as been reliable over the years.
It all started 16 years ago about this time of year When Emily Kay was only about 2 months old and we were on our way back from visiting my parents in San Antonio and on an impulse we stopped on the side of the road and plopped her car seat down in the middle of a patch of Bluebonnets and snapped her picture. We’ve only missed one year since, when we had another drought and there just weren’t any flowers to be seen.
